Day 1 – Ho Chi Minh city tour (L)
ho-chi-minh-notre-dame-cathedral-Oriental-Colours.jpgPick up at around 7:45 am from hotel and head to visit the Re-Unification Palace, the former palace of President Thieu and his predecessors. This building now is a museum and venue for Government official receptions. The next stops are the 2 landmarks of the city, the Central Post Office and the Notre Dame Cathedral. The Cathedral was built in between 1863 and 1880 with materials imported from France, is also referred to as Basilica of Our Lady of The Immaculate Conception. Continue to visit the War Remains Museum, where the Vietnam War crimes are in displayed. This is the most popular museum in Vietnam with approximately half a million visits annually. Lunch break at local restaurant then get transfered back to your hotel. 

Day 2 – Ho Chi Minh city – Cu Chi tunnel (L)
cu-chi-tunnel-viet-nam-Oriental-Colours.jpgWe start our tour at 7:45 am from hotel and head to Cu Chi tunnels which is about a 1.5 hour drive. Cu Chi is a network of more than 120 km under the ground and were built by sweat and blood of Vietnamese guerrillas to hide and fight against the rival forces. You will be introduced to many kinds of booby traps used during Vietnam war. We will take time to explain the methods of creating, maintaining and living in these tunnels as well as the special technique of hiding smoke invented by the guerrillas. The visit also includes visiting different type of underground halls, secret working, meeting rooms. You will spend an hour experiencing the tunnels with a guide. Afterwards, enjoy tea and cassava (guerrilla’s food during the war). Before finishing the tour, you can watch a short (15 minutes) documentary about the tunnel. Return to Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 3 – Ho Chi Minh city – Mekong Delta (L)
river-mekong-delta-Oriental-Colours.jpgYou will be picked up at around 7.45 am from hotel then depart for My Tho where we will take a boat ride along the river and enjoy the houses on stilts and the fruit plantation along the river bank. We then proceed to Tortoise Island where we will have lunch in the fruit orchard. Enjoy a boat ride through Tan Thach canal in Ben Tre, cruising under the shadow of the water coconut trees. Visit a family workshop of coconut candy, a local delicacy. We will also enjoy rowing in a boat along the creeks. After taking a delightful walk through the fruit plantation, villages and proceed to Can Tho. Overnight in Can Tho.


Day 4 – Mekong Delta – Ho Chi Minh city (B, L)

Keep cruising through the small cannels system and visit a rice noodle making village. You have the option of cycling around the countryside before the transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
